Ethics Statement
Bourgeois.news seeks to provide factual information relevant to our areas of coverage. We seek to operate within ethical guidelines and with transparency, independence, and objectivity. To that end:
- We rely on a variety of sources. In every case we attempt to confirm the provenance and quality of the information we receive. Interviews are presumed on the record unless otherwise specified.
- Contributors and sponsors are treated without favor in reporting. People or entities who have rendered payments of more than $10,000 during the previous twelve months are identified in stories materially related to such contributors.
- When we use material previously published by another source, we attribute that information to the original source. In the case of imagery, credit to the creator may be included either in a caption, or a footnote appended to the end of the product in which it appears.
- We maintain records of operations to the extent required by law, though individual staff do not necessarily keep records of all work they have performed.
- We will correct material factual errors in published content when we become aware of such errors, and encourage corrections to be submitted to contact /at/ bourgeois.news.
- Affiliate links are sometimes contained in our products. These are clearly disclosed and do not influence editorial content.
- We comply with the takedown provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
